I. ROUTINE ORGANIZATION
A. Roll Call
Caaannittee Members Present: R. S. Shook, R. S. Robinson, and Commissioner Laden
Staff Members: K. Kerdus, D. Trinidad, and D. Wimberly
B. Minutes
It was moved and seconded to waive the reading of the minutes of April 19, 1979
and approve as distributed. The motion was carried., with Commissioner Laden
abstaining since she was not present at the meeting.
II. SINGLE SITE APPROVAL PER ORDINANCE NO. 60.5
A. SDR -1409 - David Ritter, Belnap & Bohlman Roads, Tentative Building Site
Approval - 1 Lot
The applicant and his land surveyor, Frank Lewis, were present for the discussion
of this item. The Committee reviewed the house plans submitted, checking the
height and proposed grading. They expressed concern about the oak trees near
the house site. It was moved and seconded to approve SDR -1409, per Exhibit
"B -2" and the Staff Report dated March 6, 1979, amended to include the condition:
"The oak tree at the building site is to be boxed prior to issuance of a build-
ing permit." The motion was carried unanimously. The applicant was informed
that he had 15 days in which to appeal the conditions.
III. BUILDING SITES /SUBDIVISIONS
A. SDR -1410 - Manuel Gomez, Aloha Avenue & Saratoga -Los Gatos Road, Tentative
Building Site Approval - 2 Lots
Mr. Gomez, his son -in -law, and his land surveyor, Kevin Fisher, were present
for this discussion. The Caanmittee reviewed the map and discussed the cul-de-sac -
ing of Aloha at Saratoga -Los Gatos Road and how it might impact the map. The
LDC requested that the applicant submit an additional map showing the proposed
closure of Aloha, for review by the City Council. They explained to the applicant
that the LDC at the same time would review the two maps, make a determination, and
possibly defer the improvements until the Council made a decision. It was deter-
mined that this item would be continued to May 17, 1979, subject to receipt of a
letter from the applicant agreeing to the continuance.
IV. MISCELLANEOUS
A. Mr. and Mrs. Nagel, 21081 Chiquita Way, Modification of Site Development Plan for
Pool
The applicant was present for this discussion, which included review of the pool
site per Exhibit V1 and discussion of the site's previous and potential drainage
problems. It was moved and seconded to approve the pool location, conditioned
on receipt of an offer of dedication for a storm drain easement and locating the
pool equipment away from the easement prior to issuance of a building permit.
The motion was carried unanimously.
B. SDR -1271 - Daniel Stuart, Norton Road, Modification of Site Development Plan for
pool and driveway
After reviewing the map, the LDC requested that a new map be submitted which would
give a clearer and more detailed picture of the driveway. It was directed that
this item be continued. to May 17, 1979.
