ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Meeting Minutes
DATE: Tuesday, January 19, 2019
TIME: 4:00 pm
LOCATION: City of Saratoga Planning Conference Room, 13777 Fruitvale Avenue,
Saratoga, CA 95070
1. Call to Order: Meeting called to order by the Chair at 4:00pm
2. Roll Call: Present: Stallman, Swan, City liaison Harvancik; absent Waltonsmith
3. Report on Posting of the Agenda: So done
4. Accept Agenda Items and Order: No change
5. Approval of Minutes: Minutes for October 20, 2015 meeting approved
6. Oral and Written Communication: None
7. Old Business
• Blue Hills Safety Railroad Crossing update: City had a site visit with
UP and Senator Jim Beall’s office in mid December
• Prospect Road Improvements update: Final public input meetings to
be held in February or March
• Anza Trail Certification: City met with NPS January 8th to finalize draft
agreement
• Garrod Trail connection to Parker Ranch Open Space: Wayfinding
signage will be installed by the City
8. Staff Report & Upcoming events:
Pending Trails update: Quito project being finalized; Prospect Project starting
this year, HWY 9 Phase 4 (east of Fruitvale) will have a path one side
9. New Business
• Bicycle rack locations: Citywide Plan in place
• Safe Routes to School Maps: Routes can be identified for posting like
what the City of Mt. View has
10. Reports (information only, no actions to be taken)
Member reports:
• Sidewalk maintenance work needed on La Paloma
• Bollard in front of City Hall needs to have reflective tape added
11. Action Item Summary
Attend upcoming Arbor/Earth Day event at West Valley College along
the rehabilitated Vasona Creek
