Organization Attendees: Denise Goldberg, Chair (absent) Bill Brooks, Citizen Advisor Jim Stallman, Citizen Advisor Iveta Harvancik, Staff (absent) Ann Waltonsmith, Council Ray Cosyn Citizen II. Administration None III. Oral and Written Communication None IV. Old Business A. David Stallman’s Eagle Project – Deferred B. Parker Ranch Conservation Project – Reviewed staff report materials C. Deer Trail Court – Bill reported that it looks like the property line accommodates optimal preferred alignment, no update from property owner. V. New Business Bicycle Facilities Improvement Map – Staff compilation of comments to go to Public Safety Commission Bicycle Intersection Survey – Ray Cosyn provided spreadsheet on existing conditions Proposed Actions: 1. Mark loops for optional bicycle placement 2. Replace A loops with D loops per suggested priority identified on spreadsheet Reorganization with PRC – Ann reported on the reactivation of the PRC and who the appointees are. Bill mentioned that there was still some question as to whether the disclosure papers are needed for the Trails Committee members. VI. Reports • Lawrence Sidewalk – County has submitted design whish was available to view • Tank Trail ups and downs to be smoothed out through negotiations with Mr. House associated with Old Oak Way relinquishment by the City – plus connecting to Mid. Penn. Explored 2 • Heritage Orchard perimeter trail to be done in conjunction with the Tank Trail work • Hwy. 9 Safety Project – request was made to add Share the Road signs to retaining wall sections VII. Reports Bill: Segment 12 – Trail got new surfacing through volunteer use of free wood chips plus unanticipated work by the Fire Department. Ann/Jim: Anza Trail – PG&E is helping to set up easement through a friendly condemnation, VTA has expenditure for the trail showing as red due to a 5/31/2008 spend deadline. Ann: Saratoga to the Sea – Quarry segment is being pursued by Mid Penn who is helping County Roads transfer the property to County Parks. VIII. Action Items Summary Jim: email John Cherbone about Anza Spend Deadline update from VTA Jim: email John Cherbone to let Shawn know about offer by Bobcat earthmover owner who is interested in trail upkeep work on a volunteer basis. Ray: email intersection spreadsheet to John Cherbone Mention was made that March 1st is the first Parker Ranch Trail Conservation Project work date.
