JOINT MEETING WITH TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION
Meeting Minutes
DATE: Thursday, June 15, 2010
TIME: 4:00 pm.
LOCATION: City of Saratoga Planning Offices, 13777 Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga, CA 95070
1. Call to Order: Meeting called to order by the Chair at 4:00pm
2. Roll Call: Present: Goldberg, Waltonsmith; Staff: Harvancik
Absent: Stallman, Cosyn
3. Report on Posting of the Agenda: Confirmed by staff.
4. Accept Agenda Items and Order: No changes
5. Approval of Minutes: No quorum
6. Oral and Written Communication: None received
7. Staff Report:
- Most trails in Parker Ranch have been sprayed for weeds and poison oak.
Spraying was completed on 6-8.
- The Lower Tank trail was not sprayed since we expect construction to start Mid
July.
- New Trail to Fremont Older, Villa Oaks Trail, Carnelian Glen and San Marcos
trail were all sprayed
8. Old Business:
- Confirming New Trails Committee Meeting Time and/or Day - Quorum not Present
- Move-It Saratoga – Sign-in on the City Website - Trail Flyer – Reviewed, comments provided - Circulation Element and Open Space Element Trail Maps Update – Trails Map reviewed,
all listed corrections reviewed and approved. Future Village Creek extended north-east
along Saratoga Creek to SCVWD property.
9. New Business:
- Parker Ranch Trail Signage – additional trail sign needed
10. Reports:
- July 28 at 6:00 pm – PRC has schedule visit to St. Marcos Open Space and
Congress Springs Open Space (at Hwy 9) to find locations for bird houses.
Partnership with Audubon Society
- Saratoga-Monte Sereno Foundation is interested in WVC trail
12. Action Items Summary:
Committee and Community members are invited to register for Move-it Saratoga
