JOINT MEETING WITH TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION
Meeting Minutes
DATE: Thursday, July 20, 2010
TIME: 7:00 pm.
LOCATION: City of Saratoga Planning Offices, 13777 Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga, CA 95070
1. Call to Order: Meeting called to order by the Chair at 4:00pm
2. Roll Call: Present: Goldberg, Stallman, Waltonsmith;
Staff: Harvancik
Absent: Cosyn
3. Report on Posting of the Agenda: Confirmed by staff.
4. Accept Agenda Items and Order: No changes
5. Approval of Minutes: No minutes available from prior meeting
6. Oral and Written Communication: None received
7. Staff Report:
- Shawn is on vacation (public works)
8. Old Business:
- Confirming New Trails Committee Meeting Time and/or Day Adopted by Committee
vote
- Move-It Saratoga Post your walking trip lengths/dates on City website to be part of
campaign
- Circulation Element and Open Space Element Trail Maps Update Circulation for
public comment begins 7/26
- Parker Ranch Trail Signage Directional signs to be added on Picea Ct.
9. New Business:
- American Trails Action Alert Committee voted to recommend a support position by
the City Council
- August meeting date Committee recommended no meeting in August with the next
meeting date to be 9/21
10. Reports:
- Movie Night is scheduled for Wildwood Park on 9/11
- Saratoga Heights Open Space Trail and San Marcos Park will be the destinations
for a 7/28 6pm P&R Commission sponsored Tour scoping out Audubon Society
Bird House prospective locations – meet at City Hall
- VTA Schools Grant request for applications forthcoming
- Water District Trails Grant application by City of Saratoga will likely not be
approved but the WVC Grant is expected to be approved
- A Heritage Tree Task Force Committee has been established by the City Council

Committee and Community members are invited to register for Move-it Saratoga
