Meeting Minutes

1. Call to Order: Meeting called to order by the Chair at 4:00pm
2. Roll Call: Present: Stallman, Swan, Cosyn; staff: Harvancik; absent: Waltonsmith
3. Report on Posting of the Agenda: So done
4. Accept Agenda Items and Order: Accepted
5. Approval of Minutes: Approved January meeting minutes
6. Oral and Written Communication: none
7. Old Business
• Future Trail CIP’s: Five candidate projects for City Council consideration have been
submitted:
County Park (Quarry Property) Master Plan
Downtown to Hakone trail
Congress Springs north side access path
Saratoga Creek Trail downstream of Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd.
Via Regina missing link
• 22100 Mt. Eden Road trail easement dedication: Trail easement will happen
• Saratoga Retirement Community Pedestrian Trails: Missing trail easement is now
flagged for the affected property - trail easement will be requested when permit work or
property change of ownership happens
8. Staff Report
• Trail week abatement will take place in March and April
• Easement extension for trail to creek in the Village is being requested
• May 30th is the date planned for the Commissioner Appreciation dinner
• Feb 29th is the Corporation Yard Solar Installation ribbon cutting ceremony
• Federal Funding for trails is being taken up in the current transportation reauthorization
bills

10. Reports (information only, no actions to be taken)
• Pending trails updates: A site visit to see the area for a Joe's Trail extension to Prospect
was suggested
• Member reports: Ongoing TDA Article 3 funding for pathway implementation along streets
was discussed in the context of Saratoga Avenue
11. Action Items Summary: Staff will email the Federal Trail Funding news to the committee
members (www.americantrails.org/reauth.html)
