Borel Reports on Posting Accept Agenda Items and Order: No additional items may be added pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2. No Changes Oral & Written Communication Any member of the public may address the Commission about any matter not on the agenda for this meeting for up to three minutes. Commissioners may not comment on the matter but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda. Question about the RR crossing at Cox Avenue Concern for traffic safety on Wardell Bridge Request for 4 way stop or light at Big Basin Way & 4th Street Approval of Draft Minutes Draft Public Safety Commission Minutes for February 9, 2005 – Continued to next meeting Old Business 1. Traffic Matrix #96 – Pam Roper Issue: Review implementation of Speed Lumps on Three Oaks Way Action: TSC will review and make recommendation if necessary MOTION: Close gap on one existing speed lump, and have the Traffic Engineer do a follow up count at same 2 locations and at a 3rd point in front of 19654 Three Oaks Way. APPROVED 3-0 New Business 2. Traffic Matrix # 136 – Daniel Onn (Continued from meeting on February 9, 2006) Issue: Requests traffic light at Herriman & Saratoga Avenue, also light at Montauk Way and Fruitvale Avenue Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: No Action. Respond to complainant regarding warrant requirements. APPROVED 3-0 3. Traffic Matrix # 141 – Susan Zucca Issue: Requests 25 mph knockdown sign on Allendale near Quito due to speeding Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: Direct Traffic Engineer to make assessment of appropriate signage and speed limit notification to drivers. APPROVED 3-0 4. Traffic Matrix # 142 – Fred Peterson Issue: Requests pedestrian crossing at Crisp and Fruitvale Avenue Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: Direct Public Works to cut bushes at the corner of Crisp and Fruitvale to improve sight distance for pedestrians crossing across Crisp. APPROVED 3-0 5. Traffic Matrix # 143 – Cathleen Harden Issue: Requests “Children At Play” sign on Manor Drive Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: Direct Traffic Engineer to review the situation (possible pedestrian sign or chatter bars), execute solution, and report back to TSC at the next meeting. APPROVED 3-0 6. Traffic Matrix # 144 – Yumi Hiroshima Issue: Requests speed bumps on Brookglen Drive due to speeding Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: Direct Public Works to place speed trailer at City limit on Brookglen Drive facing south. APPROVED 3-0 7. Traffic Matrix # 145 – Jeff Barco Issue: Requests speed bumps on Komina due to speeding Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: Place one speed lump in front of 20589 Komina, collect data after installation and report back to the TSC. APPROVED 3-0 8. Traffic Matrix # 146 – Bo Wahlgren Issue: Requests safety at intersection of Covina & Prospect be improved Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: Direct Public Works enhance the crosswalk on Prospect. APPROVED 3-0 9. Traffic Matrix # 147 – Donna Butcher, Richard Mattern Issue: Safety concerns on Montalvo Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: Follow the Traffic Engineer recommendations to put double yellow lines and bott dots on several of the curves on Montalvo Road, trim the bushes at the corner of Montalvo Heights and Hill Avenue, and place an intersection sign before the intersection of Montalvo Heights and Hill.
