Borel reports Accept Agenda Items: No additional items may be added pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2. No changes Oral & Written Communication Any member of the public may address the Commission about any matter not on the agenda for this meeting for up to three minutes. Commissioners may not comment on the matter but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda. One speaker – Stop sign on private road near Church of Latter Day Saints off Allendale - needs trimming around sign. Approval of Draft Minutes Draft Traffic Safety Commission Minutes July 12, 2012. APPROVED 7-0 Sheriff’s Report to the Commission Sgt. Washburn and Lt. Rick Sung report New Business 1. Traffic Matrix #289 (6:38 p.m.) Issue: Request Stop sign on Big Basin Way at 4th Street Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: Recommend that the Traffic Engineer evaluate warrants needed for Caltrans approval and provide volume and speed data at the next meeting. APPROVED 6-0-1, Kirk recused. 2. Traffic Matrix #290 (7:00 p.m.) Issue: Request Stop sign on Dundee at Paseo Presada Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: Recommend Stop sign on southbound Paseo Presada at Dundee. APPROVED 6-1-0, Coulter opposed. 3. Traffic Matrix #291 (7:15 p.m.) Issue: Safety and speeding concerns on Prospect Road Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: Recommend that the speed limit be lowered from 25mph to 20 mph. APPROVED 7-0. MOTION: Recommend that PEBTAC investigate the possibility for a new trail and expanded parking lot. APPROVED 7-0. MOTION: Recommend that the Traffic Engineer investigate the feasibility of using mirrors. APPROVED 7-0. 4. Traffic Matrix #292 (7:40 p.m.) Issue: Requests “No U Turn” sign on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road at Kirkmont Drive Action: TSC will make recommendation MOTION: Recommend no action be taken. APPROVED 7-0 Old Business 5. Traffic Matrix #288 (7:55 p.m.) Issue: Review recommendations for corner at Bankmill and Stoneridge Drive Action: TSC will make recommendation. MOTION: Recommend the Traffic Engineer provide a striping plan for the corner of Bankmill Road, and repaint the double yellow line on Stoneridge Drive. APPROVED 7-0. 6. Traffic Matrix #260 (8:10 p.m.) Issue: Review Titus / Prospect Improvements Action: TSC will review Traffic Engineer reports.
