Save the Date for the Annual Friends, Commissioners and Board Members Forum
We hope you will mark your calendars now to attend the annual Forum, Saturday, February 3, 9-12:30.
The Forum is a free event and a light lunch will be provided.
Our thought-provoking theme this year will be “Challenging our Assumptions” and keynote speakers will
be Supervisor Joe Simitian and Marc Futterman, President and CEO of Civic Technologies. Supervisor
Simitian set out across the United States to talk to people in order to understand the results of the 2017
presidential election. Through these conversations, he gained understanding that challenged his
thinking. Marc Futterman challenges assumptions by collection and analyzing data about who uses
libraries and who doesn’t use libraries.
JPA Meetings
The JPA Finance Committee will meet on October 11th at 3 pm at the Services and Support Center. The
JPA Board will be meeting Thursday, November 2nd at 1:30 pm also at the Services and Support. Both
