Call to Order: With only two Commissioners in attendance at 6:50 p.m. this meeting was canceled due to the
lack of a quorum.
Commissioners Present: Rick Pearce, Terry Ward
Commissioners Absent: Ping Li, Pallavi Sharma, Renee Paquier
Guests: None
Report on Posting of the Agenda: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, this meeting was properly
posted on July 7, 2017.
Accept Agenda Items: No additional items may be added pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2.
Oral & Written Communication: Any member of the public may address the Commission about any matter not
on the agenda for this meeting for up three minutes. Commissioners may not comment on the matter,
but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda.
Approval of Draft Parks and Recreation Commission (PRC) Minutes:
May 16, 2017
Agenda:
1. Age-friendly Cities Update
Issue: PRC is now actively involved in the citywide age-friendly initiative. Update Commission about the
discussions and actions taken.
Action: No action needed – informational only.
2. Work Plan Update
Issue: Discuss updates to the work plan, which were presented during the City Council retreat.
Action: No action needed – informational only.
3. Volunteer Work at Quarry
Issue: Update the Commission about the Let’s Work program.
Action: No action needed – informational only.
5. Movie Night

Issue: Discuss schedule, Commissioner duties, logistics, and any changes for the July and August Movie
Nights 2017.
Action: Update action plan for the July and August Movie Nights 2017.
