1. Approval of Prior Finance Committee Meeting Minutes:
A. August 24, 2017 Minutes approved

3. Old Business
A. Purchasing Policy Update
● Action Item – Staff to update City’s Financial Policies to specifically document City
Manager’s purchasing authority allows for the approval of contract expenditures in excess
of Council approval, up to 20% of the contract amount, to a maximum of $25,000.
4. New Business
A. Auditor’s Report
● Action Item - Received auditor’s status update report. Draft CAFR to come back to
Finance Committee prior to going to City Council.
B. 2016 Measure B Lawsuit Funding Impacts
● Action Item – Staff to provide status update and discussion at next City Council Retreat
(currently scheduled for February 2, 2018.)
C. Committee Workplan
● Action Items – Bring City Commission fundraising and fees discussion to next Finance
Committee meeting.
D. Next FC meeting date: Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
