Wolfe The Chair of the Library Expansion Committee of the City of Saratoga hereby calls the following special meetings of the Saratoga Library Expansion Committee: •July 14 at 8:30 am: Meet in parking lot of City Hall, 13777 Fruitvale Avenue for a trip to visit the Yolo County Library, Davis Branch and the Vaccaville Library. The purpose of these visits is to inspect libraries designed by potential architects for the library expansion project. •July 16 at 10:30 am: Meet in the parking lot of the City Hall, 13777 Fruitvale Avenue for a trip to visit the Belvedere -Tiburon Library and the Burlingame Library. The purpose of these visits is to inspect libraries designed by potential architects for the library expansion project. •July 17 at 5 pm in the Community Room of the Saratoga Community Library, 13650 Saratoga Avenue. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the interview process of architects for the library expansion project. •July 21 at 9 am to 4 pm in the Community Room of the Saratoga Community Library, 13650 Saratoga Avenue. Narrow number of firms to three. Request of those three firms preliminary drawings, interview and select a firm to recommend to the City Council. To follow and make recommendations during the building design process through to the point of ground breaking. ROLE OF THE SARATOGA COMMUNITY LIBRARY COMMISSION: Act as members of the Library Expansion committee. Work to educate the public of need for the expansion project. Advisory board to the City Council, citizens organizations, Friends of the Saratoga Libraries etc. during the building process. To consider the need/feasibility of a market research project before the bond measure to determine the extent to which the public would support such a measure.
