WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5, 2019
SARATOGA CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
At 5:00 p.m., the City Council held interviews at the Joan Pisani Community Center Conference Room at
19655 Allendale Avenue to fill one partial term on the Traffic Safety Commission.
Mayor Cappello called the Joint Meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. in the Saratoga Senior Center, S. Ku Hall
at 19655 Allendale Avenue.

PRESENT: Mayor Manny Cappello, Vice Mayor Howard A. Miller, Council
Members Rishi Kumar, Mary -Lynne Bernald, Yan Zhao
ABSENT: None
ALSO PRESENT: James Lindsay, City Manager
Crystal Bothelio, Deputy City Manager
Debbie Bretschneider, City Clerk
John Cherbone, Public Works Director
Debbie Pedro, Community Development Director
Lauren Pettipiece, Public Information Officer
Kayla Nakamoto, Recreation Coordinator
AGENDA ITEMS:
Joint Meeting with Saratoga Neighborhoods
Mayor Cappello welcomed everyone to the meeting, introduced the other Council Members, announced
the recent accomplishments of the City Council, and mentioned initiatives for the upcoming year.
Santa Clara County Fire Department Community Liaison Denise Gluhan presented on the nationwide
program of Ready, Set, Go for wildfire preparedness.
Sheriff's Office Captain Urena presented safety tips for Saratoga.
Residents shared information about their neighborhood with the City Council.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Cappello adjourned the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
