MEMORANDUM 'FEBRUARY 11, 1971

SUBJECT: TERM OF OFFICE - LIBRARY COMMISSION
The Policy Committee recommends that Saratoga Library Commissioners serve
four year terms and that service on the Commission be limited to two -full
terms plus no more than one half an additional term in the case of commis-
sioners appointed to fill unexpired terms. This will limit service to a
normal period of eight years with a maximum of ten years for an individual
who has served no more than one half an unexpired term. Two of the Commis-
sioners appointed February 3, 1971 shall serve an initial two year term so
all terms will not end at the same time.
The County Library Commission also operates on the basis of a maximum of
two four year terms of service on the Commission.
