Place: Administrative Conference Room – 13777 Fruitvale Avenue Type: Regular Meeting – Please meet in the parking lot in front of City Hall at 8:30 A.M. Staff will provide transportation to the site visits under New Business and reconvene in the Administration Conference Room by approximately 9:15 A.M. Place: Regular Meeting – Administrative Conference Room 1. Routine Organization A. Roll Call B. Review of minutes from September 11, 2012 meeting. C. Posting of Agenda – Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the agenda was posted on November 8, 2012. D. Oral & Written Communication - Any member of the public may address the Commission about any matter not on the agenda for this meeting for up to three minutes. Commissioners may not comment on the matter but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda. E. Oral Communications –Instruction to staff regarding actions on current Oral Communications. 2. New Business A. 14065 Saratoga Avenue (Florence Cunningham Residence) – Review a proposed residential addition to a Craftsman Bungalow at 14065 Saratoga Avenue that is an existing City Landmark Property. B. Heritage Orchard Discussion – • Nomination to the California Register of Historic Places? • Signage, benches, or related enhancements to the Orchard? • Future protection and preservation of the Orchard? C. Joint Meeting with the City Council - Discuss agenda topics for the January 16, 2013 joint meeting with the City Council and the Saratoga Historical Foundation. 3. Old Business A. Properties on Inventory – Continue the discussion process of adding new properties to the existing Heritage Inventory. • 14474 Oak Place (Julia Morgan – Architect) B. Heritage Tree Applications – Discuss potential modifications to simplify the Heritage Tree designation process. 4. Commissioner Comments 5. The appeal shall be taken by filing with the Secretary of the Planning Commission a written notice and filing fee within ten (10) days of the date of the decision. In accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act, copies of the staff reports and other materials provided to the Historical Preservation Commission by City staff in connection with this agenda are available at the office of the Community Development Department Director at 13777 Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga, California 95070. Any materials distributed by staff after the posting of the agenda are made available for public review at the office of the Director at the time they are distributed to the Planning Commission.
