Routine Organization A. Roll Call B. Approval of minutes from September 13, 2011 meeting C. Posting of Agenda – Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the agenda was posted on October 6, 2011 D. Oral & Written Communication - Any member of the public may address the Commission about any matter not on the agenda for this meeting for up to three minutes. Commissioners may not comment on the matter but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda. E. Oral Communications –Instruction to staff regarding actions on current Oral Communications. 2. New Business A. 14651 Farewell Ave. – Proposed fence exception attached to two existing pilasters. The existing pilasters may have been part of the 20021 Bella Vista (Rancho Bella Vista). Planning Commission requested applicant submit to HPC for review. B. 21000 Big Basin Way (Hakone Gardens) – Hakone Foundation has proposed to rebuild their existing Wisteria Arbor (Fuji-dana). Hakone Gardens is listed on the Heritage Resource Inventory as a Historic Landmark. C. 20450 Saratoga-Los Gatos Rd. (McWilliams House) – Saratoga Historical Foundation has proposed to remodel an existing storage shed into a old school house. The McWilliams House is listed on the Heritage Resource Inventory as a Historic Landmark. 3. Old Business A. HPC Training – Preservation and Sustainability Video (showing 10/13/11 in Admin Conf. Room) B. Hakone Gardens – Application for National Register (update) 4. Adjournment Adjourn to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011, Warner Hutton House, 13777 Fruitvale Avenue. The appeal shall be taken by filing with the Secretary of the Planning Commission a written notice and filing fee within ten (10) days of the date of the decision. In accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act, copies of the staff reports and other materials provided to the Heritage Preservation Commission by City staff in connection with this agenda are available at the office of the Community Development Department Director at 13777 Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga, California 95070. Any materials distributed by staff after the posting of the agenda are made available for public review at the office of the Director at the time they are distributed to the Planning Commission.
