Call to Order:
Commissioners Present: Sandy Muju, Renee Paquier, Rick Pearce, and Terry Ward
Staff: Analyst, Kristin Borel and Public Works Director, John Cherbone
Commissioners Absent: Ping Li
Report on Posting of the Agenda: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, this meeting was properly
posted on September 4, 2019. Kristin Borel reports.
Accept Agenda Items: No additional items may be added pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2.

Oral & Written Communication: Any member of the public may address the Commission about any matter not
on the agenda for this meeting for up three minutes. Commissioners may not comment on the matter
but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda. No speakers or written communication.

Approval of Parks and Recreation Commission (PRC) Draft Minutes:
• July 9, 2019 - Approved
Agenda:
1. Friendship Park Sign Design
Recommend sign similar in style and design to the sign at Ravenwood Park. Also discussed adding park
sign design to the workplan and next Agenda.
2. Saratoga to Sea Trail Plan
Reviewed the Saratoga to Sea Trail plan.
3. Park Improvements Plan
Recommend Commissioners develop ideas for Park improvements and bring them to the next meeting.
City will provide list of park maintenance projects for Commissioners to review.
4. Historic Plaque Program for Parks
Recommend general format for bronze plaques including year built, size and historical background, and
if available historical photos and additional information to be put on aluminum signs.
