RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING TO THE SENIOR CENTER ENTRANCE
REMODEL CIP PROJECT
WHEREAS, City Council approved a Capital Improvement Project to remodel the
entrance of the Senior Center in FY2019/20; and
WHEREAS, the Senior Center Remodel Project is currently underway; and
WHEREAS, volunteer labor and materials that was to complete the landscaping portion
of the project was cancelled due to COVID-19 health orders, and;
WHEREAS, additional funding is now needed for labor and materials to complete the
project; and
WHEREAS, additional funding is available in the Prospect Road Improvements Phase 1
CIP Project; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to adjust the Fiscal Year 2019/20 Capital Improvement
Budget as follows;

To appropriate the transfer out of funding from the Prospect Rd Improvements CIP Project:
Transfer Out 411.9122-006.99999 $ 35,000
To appropriate the transfer in of funding and increase the expenditure appropriations for the
Senior Center Remodel CIP Project:
Transfer in 413.9333-007.49999 $ 35,000
Expenditure 413.9333-007.81161 $ 35,000
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Saratoga hereby approves additional funding for the Senior Center Remodel Project in Fiscal
Year 2019/20 and approves the above adjustments to the Fiscal Year 2019/20 Capital
Improvement Budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the above and foregoing resolution was passed and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 17th day of June, 2020 by
the following vote:
AYES: Mayor Howard A. Miller, Vice Mayor Mary -Lynne Bernald, Council Members E.
Manny Cappello, Yan Zhao, Rishi Kumar
