RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
AMENDING THE CITY'S FY 2020/21 OPERATING & CAPITAL BUDGET
TO APPROPRIATE FUNDING FOR PLANNING CONSULTING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga's FY 2020/21 Operating & Capital Budget was adopted on
June 3, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the City Council appropriated Community Development Department funds for
Planning Consulting Services in the amount of $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Department, Planning Division has received a high
volume of large projects in the current year and unanticipated staff leaves of absence; and
WHEREAS, City Council desires that Planning applications are processed in the legally required
time frame and with high quality of service; and
WHEREAS, additional funding of $35,000 is now required to complete submitted planning
applications; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to make adjustments to the FY 2020/21 Operating & Capital Budget
as follows:

To appropriate expenditure for Planning Consulting Services:
Planning Consulting Services 111.4101.65411 $35,000
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga
hereby approves the above budget adjustment to the FY 2020/21 Operating & Capital Budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at
a regular meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on May 19, 2021 by the following vote:
AYES: Mayor Yan Zhao, Vice Mayor Tina Walia, Council Members Mary -Lynne Bernald,
Kookie Fitzsimmons, Rishi Kumar
