HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 21-064 amending retention scheduleRESOLUTION NO.21- 064 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA AMENDING THE CITY'S RECORDS RETENTION SCHEDULE WHEREAS, the State of California has adopted guidelines for retention periods for various government records; and WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of California provides a procedure whereby any City record which has served its purpose and is no longer required, may be destroyed; and WHEREAS, on the 191" day of June 2019, the City Council of the City of Saratoga approved a records retention schedule governing the retention of City of Saratoga records; and WHEREAS, the schedule has been further amended to more accurately reflect the contents, value, and variety of records created by the City of Saratoga; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk, City Attorney, and City Departments have reviewed and concur with the revisions contained in the attached Attachment A: Records Retention Schedule. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby approve the amended records retention schedule, including the revisions set forth in Attachment A.
