Saratoga Volunteer Program Grant
Recently the GSty of Saratoga's Volunteer Program wae awarded a
one year grant of$20,000.00 from the David and Lucille Packard
Foundation for the purpose of enhancing the Volunteer Program. � i .
Saratoga is one of nine cities in the Bay Area who were awarded Y '' �
grante under the Packard Foundation's°`Volunteer for GStiess project. �
The grant is being uaed to hire a well known oonaultant in volunteer ..,,,
management. Ms.Betty Stallings ie a national trainer,conaultant, '���
suthor and keynote speaker specializing in volunteeriem,nonprofit ��
fund-raieing,board development and leaderehip.Ma.Stallinge was the I
founder and 13 year Executive Director of the Valley Volunteer Center
in Pleasanton,CA before becoming a oonsultant.The grant�vill allow �.`
the City to enhance ita volunteer program and improve the syatems
and depth of the program.
