RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SARATOGA APPROVING AND CONSENTING TO THE ANNUAL
SARATOGA CAR SHOW AND RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AND
CONSENTING TO PROPOSED RE-ROUTING OF TRAFFIC
WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga has applied to the State of California to conduct the
Saratoga Chamber of Commerce Annual Car Show on State property; and
WHEREAS, the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce Annual Car Show will require
temporary closure of State Highway Route 9 on the 41h Sunday of July each year between Saratoga -
Sunnyvale Road and 61h Street between the hours of 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, said temporary closure will cause the re-routing of traffic onto and over the
following City streets, 6th Street to/from Oak Street; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby
approves and consents to the proposed Saratoga Chamber of Commerce Annual Car Show and
recommends approval of and consents to the proposed re-routing of traffic onto and over the
described City streets upon terms and conditions deemed appropriate and necessary by the State
of California, Department of Transportation.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Saratoga
City Council held on the 71h day of June 2023, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS AFTAB, PAGE, WALIA, VICE MAYOR ZHAO,
MAYOR FITZSIMMONS

ABSTAIN: NONE
