SARATOGA PLANNING COMMISSION
SPECIAL MEETING
MAY 9, 2023
3:30 P.M. - SITE VISIT
City Hall | 13777 Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga, CA 95070
Meeting will be held at the site visit locations in the order noted on the agenda.
SITE VISIT AGENDA:
1. Application PDR22-0022/ARB22-0106; 19175 Monte Vista Drive; (397-09-013) Alex Byer and
Isha Clark (Applicant) - The applicant is requesting Design Review approval for a new 6,001 square
foot two story single-family residence (maximum height 26’) with a 4,996 square foot basement and
818 square foot detached accessory dwelling unit (maximum height 15’). Twelve protected trees are
proposed for removal. The site is zoned R-1-40,000 with a General Plan Designation of Residential

2. Application FER23-0001; 12655 Saratoga Avenue (386-17-056); Shloke Hajela – The applicant is
requesting a Fence Exception for a 6-foot-tall fence and gate to be located on the front property line
where 3 feet is allowed. The site is zoned R-1-10,000 with a General Plan Designation of M-10

ADJOURNMENT
The Site Visit Committee is comprised of interested Planning Commission Members. Site visits are
conducted to properties that are new items on the Planning Commission Agenda and are usually held the
Tuesday preceding the Wednesday hearing. It is encouraged that the applicant and/or owner to be present
to answer any questions that may arise. Site visits are generally short (10 to 20 minutes) because of time
constraints. Any presentations and testimony you may wish to give should be saved for the Public Hearing.
During the Site Visit, the Planning Commission may only discuss items related to the project. The agenda
does not allow any formal votes or motions on the proposed project or other matters. The Site Visit is a
fact-finding meeting where the Commission may ask questions from or hear statements from members of
the public attending the Visit. No comments made during the Site Visit by the Planning Commission are
binding or required to be carried through to the formal public hearing where actions will be taken on the
proposed project.
