A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
DISBANDING THE PUBLIC ART COMMISSION
WHEREAS,the City Council established the City Council Public Art Committee in 2016
and in 2021 replaced the Public Art Committee with a Public Art Commission comprised of
Saratoga residents; and
WHEREAS, to streamline City operations the City Council wishes to transfer the
responsibilities of the Public Art Commission to the Library and Public Art Commission and on
December 20, 2023, adopted a resolution to that effect.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby
rescinds Resolution No. 21-047 establishing a Public Art Commission and declares that the Public
Art Commission no longer exists.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Saratoga
City Council held on the 201h day of December 2023 by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS FITZSIMMONS, PAGE, VICE MAYOR AFTAB
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBER WALIA, MAYOR ZHAO
ABSENT: NONE
ABSTAIN: NONE
