WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31, 2024
SARATOGA CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING
Mayor Zhao called the Special Meeting to order at 4:08 p.m.
ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Mayor Yan Zhao, Vice Mayor Belal Aftab, Council Members Kookie
Fitzsimmons, Tina Walia
ABSENT: Council Member Chuck Page
ALSO PRESENT: Britt Avrit, City Clerk
Monica LaBossiere, Human Resources Manager
REPORT ON POSTING OF THE AGENDA
The City Clerk reported the agenda for this meeting was properly posted on January 26, 2024.
1. AGENDA ITEM
1.1. City Manager Recruitment
Recommended Action:
Provide strategic direction to Bob Murray & Associates regarding the approach to City
Manager recruitment, schedule, and the desired candidate profile.
Monica LaBossiere, Human Resources Manager, presented the staff report.
Council Member Page arrived at the meeting at this time.
Mayor Zhao invited public comment.
No one requested to speak.
The City Council discussed the desired candidate profile, the content of the recruitment
brochure, the schedule for the recruitment, and gave direction to Bob Murray and Associates.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Zhao adjourned the meeting at 5:13 p.m.
