Vice Chair Minar call the meeting to order at 8:56 AM.

Present: Priya Shastri, Margarete Minar, Zhen Li
Absent: Sharon Boyce-Bender
Staff: Nicole Johnson, Senior Planner
4. Approval of the July 11, 2023 minutes
SHASTRI/LI MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FOR THE JULY 11, 2023 MEETING.
MOTION PASSED. AYES: MINAR, LI SHASTRI. NOES: NONE. ABSENT: BOYCE-BENDER
ABSTAIN: NONE
5. Oral Communications
Tsing Barden-Saratoga Retirement Community
Spoke about the proposed project in front of the manor that will be coming to HPC
on a future agenda.
Marilyn Maines- Spoke about the proposed project in front of the manor and addition
to the manor, and the impacts that the proposal has on the existing historic structure
and on adjacent properties. Vibration and noise issues.
6. New Business
a. 14754 Pierce Road
MINARI/SHASTRI MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSED
EXTERIOR CHANGES WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS PROVIDED BY
ARCHIVES AND ARCHITECTURE. MOTION PASSED. AYES: LI MINAR, SHASTRI.
NOES: NONE. ABSENT: BOYCE-BENDER. ABSTAIN: NONE
b. Brown Act/Parliamentary Procedure (City Clerk)
The City Clerk gave an overview of the Brown Act/Parliamentary Procedure.
