TO: Parks and Recreation Commission DATE: March 7, 1988
FROM: Secretary, Parks & Recreation Commission
SUBJECT: Meeting of March 7, 1988
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tonight's meeting will be held in the Senior Day Care Center.
Entrance is through the large glass doors furthest from the front
of the Community Center.
II. A. A report on comparable park use fees has been compiled
and is enclosed in your packet.
Recommended action: Make recommendation on future policy and fee
schedule.
B. The developer's median landscaping plan has been
modified to better conform to the Median Master Plan. The
reasons for the differences will be explained at tonight's
meeting.
Recommended Action: Review and approve modified plan.
III. A. AlI tentative map has been submitted to the Planning
Departmentfor which they are asking this Commission for specific
conditions//////for this proposed two lot development. The Trails
Master Plan calls for a trail on the opposite side of Sobey Road
so I do not believe a condition for this development is
essential.
Recommended Action: Return map to Planning Department stating
that the Parks and RecreatinnCommission has no specific
conditions for the developer.
B. The Parks and Recreation Commission has been requested
by Georgina Meehan to hear a presentation from her concerning
City support of the West Valley Aquatic Team.
Recommended Action: To be determined upon hearing presentation.
C. Saratoga Little League has received two large baseball
scoreboards they wish to install at Congress Springs Park. Staff
has reviewed the proposed location and the desirability of the
scoreboards and feels they will be an appropriate improvement.
Recommended Action: Approve Little League request.
IV. A. Commissioner Clemens will give an overview of the
recent C.P.S.R.P. Conference.
Recommended Action: No action necessary.
Please let Sharon know if you will be unable to attend the
meeting..
