SUBJECT: MEETING OF MONDAY, MAY 5, 1990
It is recommended that Item IV. be left until after the Master Plan
presentatians, and the remainder taken before.
II.A. Starting at 8PM, presentations will be given to the
Commissioners by three consultants (out of six
submittals) selected for the completness of their
written proposals.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the
Commissioners review the written proposals sent with
this package and then listen to the presentations
and be prepared to select a consultant for the
project. The Commissioners' recommendation will
then be taken to the Council meeting of May 16.
III.A. An 89/90 allocation of $10,999 is available for
our use if we have a purpose and can match the
grant. Staff will have some suggestions.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the
Commissioners consider projects for these funds.
IV. Commissioners Clemens, Pierce, Swan and Staff-
person Rizzo will provide an insight gained by their
attendance at the CPRC Conference.
V. Commissioners will be asked to set schedules for
attendance at forthcoming City Council meetings.

SUBJECT: MEETING OF MONDAY, APRIL 2, 1990
II.A. The Heritage Tree Proposal which was approved by the
Parks & Recreation Commissioners at the last meeting
and subsequently by Council requires the appointment
of a Commissioner to serve on the Committee.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the
Commissioners appoint one member to serve on the
Heritage Tree Committee.
III.A. A request was received from the Recreation
Department for a volunteer from the Parks &
Recreation Commission to serve as our Hakone
Festival Representative.
Recommendation: It is recommended that one member
of the Commission volunteer to provide assistance
to the Hakone Festival, which is scheduled to take
place October 12th and 13th.
IV. Commissioners Pierce and Swan and Staff-person
Rizzo will provide an insight into their
attendance at the CPRC Symposium.
