SUBJECT: MEETING OF MONDAY, AUGUST 5, 1991

II.A. The Commissioners are asked to meet with Ms. Osborn of Myren
Drive at Gardiner Park at 7:00 pm to review the problem area
as reported by Ms. Osborn in her letter of June 27th. After
this meeting, the Commissioners will proceed to the Senior
Center for their regular meeting and to resolve the problems.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the following be
analyzed and considered as possible solutions for correcting
the problems at Gardiner Park. Direct staff to prepare report
for Council regarding final direction.
1} Establish group limits for neighborhood park use
2) Ban use of alcoholic beverages at Gardiner and/or
other parks
3) Physical improvements such as signs, fencing, plantings,
etc.
4) Ban baseball and other team sports
B. Commissioner Swan and staff will report on playground
equipment for Beauchamps Park.

SUBJECT: PARKS & TRAILS MASTER PLAN IMPLEMENTATION
At their meeting of July 17, 1991, Council asked that, at the joint
meeting between Council and the Parks & Recreation Commission
scheduled for November 26, 1991, priorities for implementing the
improvements described in the Parks and Trails Master Plan be
established. While the Master Plan establishes priorities for the
first three or four years, no schedule is defined for the 1995-
2000 time period.
Additionally, no specific segments of trails are scheduled for
implementation at this time.
