for a mini-park only are being conside-recl. If the City

Commissioner Gos•don moved that the Cornrnission recommend an
expenditure of ~rC.C)0 to obtain prints of the western half of
Saratoga to the City Council. Commissioner• Zam'oetti seconded
the motion, and it was passed unanimously.

The Secretary said that it is very possible that this Commis:=ion
will be receiving morn requests li'_~e the Saratoga School District's
request 'in develorr?ent of the Argonaut School curf. The Coc~^~ission
should consider ho~•~ much money- they want to corn:mit to this type
of development and cvhat criteria they will use. She questioned
T;r. Halzhaiier's statement (r;inutes of August 26, 1q;3) that the
Argonaut turf would be oper, c4 hours a day.
If was the _~ eeling of t'_•~e Commission that a uniform policy needs
to be established, and that such -fundit~~ sho~_tld be apart of t'ne
re~;ular_ budget each year. Chai.rizan '~lilberding asked if it t•~ould
be~possible for the staff to find out the actual hours an area
such as the Argonaut turf cti~ould be open to the public, 'Caking

1. Report on Bicycle Demonstration Route P~eetin~.
Commissioner Rose reported .I~ir. Nor. r., Alatteoni, Chairman of the
B~~TCLE iCitizen's Committee on Bicycle Routes presented the report to
'the City Council. Th.e Committee has asked that they be
consulted about any changes ar~d that Public Hearing be held.

schools could use. Also mentioned was the possiblity of
informing the•public through the Youth Center and Service
Organizations.

correct use .of the bicycle.route trrougn the schools, Youth
Center, service organizations, etc. Commissioner Ggrdor_
seconded, and the motion was passed unanimously. A copy

Co,~r,issioner Terry mentioned that the Sierra Club has organized
a bicycle ride along t~,e existi.ng bicycle ro~tite to ai:tra.c~t
positive support for the bicycle route.

Conrlis~ioner Clawson asked about the status of the Parxer
Ranch.

•The Secretary said that in reading the past-mirutes_of this

was ever taken.
The Commission was not sure .exact;-ly w'nat did Happen, and
Chair ~.~+r ~~Jilbex°ding said he wouJ_d look through his files.

The Sec_t•etar_y has talked to the- P•;ayor, but nothing has yet
been done.
