HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-03-2007 City Council Minutes1VI~NUTE ARAT(]A ~T C~~JN~~ JANUA~~ 3, Z0~7 'The pity auncil of the City of Saratoga held a Joint Session with the Heritage Preservation a~nrn~ison BHP} in the Administrative conference Room,1~777 Fruitvale Avenue, at ~:3~ p.m. The following Heritage Preservation Commissioners were present: Joan omersall, Steve Kellond, Chair Norm Kaeperntk, Bob Louder, Peter 1Vlarra, Rita McCarty, and Beth Wyman. Also present was Chuck Schoppe, President of the Historic Foundation. The am~nissioners discussed the following items: Landmark and National registry Plaques 1V~ustard Festival Heritage LaneslDistrict HPC err~bers requested funding 1'ar the historic plaque pragrna and requested that Council aendi~e this item far discussion. N~yor Kao directed staff to place this Item on a future rrieeting to discus funding options. In regards to the yearly monetary contribution the pity makes towards the 11~ustard walk, City Council directed stffto include the funds in the next budget cycle. Mayor Sao thanked the n~e~nbers ofthe HPC and Mr. choppe for attending tonight's meeting. 1Vlayor Kao called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:aa p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
