SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 6, 2000
The Special Meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Bogosian at 1:00
p.m.
PRESENT: Ann Waltonsmith, Evan Baker, Nick Streit, Stan Bogosian
ABSENT: John Mehaffey
ALSO PRESENT: Bill Norton, Interim City Manager
James Walgren, Director of Community Development
i Carol Ann Butler, Interim City Clerk
NEW BUSINESS
1. SELECTION OF RECRUITMENT FIRM FOR RECRUITMENT OF
PERMANENT CITY MANAGER.
The following were firms interviewed:
Hughes, Perry & Associates
DMG
Ralph Anderson & Associates
Shannon Associates
BAKER moved that City retain the firm of Hughes, Perry & Associates for
the recruitment for position of Qermanent City Manager, seconded by
WALTONSMITH and carried with MEHAFFEY absent.

2. AUTHORIZATION TO APPEAL SANTA CLARA COUNTY PLANNING
COMMISSION DECISION APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
FOR MOUNTAIN WINERY.
James Walgren, Director of Community Development, presented report.
Public Present:

Teri Baron, 19830 Via Escuela
BAKER moved to file appeal with the Santa Clara County Planning
Commission, seconded by WALTONSMITH and carried with MEHAFFEY
absent.
3. SETTELEMENT AGREEMENT WITH AT&T (FORMERLY TCI) REGARDING
KSAR CHANNEL RELOCATION.
Bill Norton, Interim City Manager, presented staff report.
Mr. Norton indicated the City was proceeding with hearings and press
releases have been done.
OTHER ITEMS
Councilmember Waltonsmith distributed memo on Betty Peck's request to invite
everyone to take a walk back through time by walking through the Heritage Orchard
during the Spring's blossom season. Walk is scheduled for week of March 18-24.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned at
4:07 p.m.
