Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:03p.m.
2. Roll Call
Commissioners Present: Vita Bruno, Mark Chapman, Logan Deimler, Greg
Gates, Denise Goldberg, Anne Sanquini, Thomas Soukup
Commissioners Absent: None
Others Present: Saratoga Residents: Janny Lu, Mike Cummings, Jeff Feng,
Thomas Barbaro, Jim Schindler, Andy Barnes, Mary & Brian Robertson,
Loran Fiance, Sandy Cross, Mien Shih, Janis Riccomini, Recreation
Department Coordinator Adam Henig, Staff Liaison Cary Bloomquist.

4. Accept Agenda Items and Order: Accepted via group consensus.
5. Approval of Minutes of Meeting: Motion by Commissioner Tom Soukup,
Seconded by Commissioner Vita Bruno, to approve the September 13, 2004
Action Minutes as presented. Vote taken, action minutes
approved 6-0-1 (Chair Deimler abstained).
6. Public Presentation:
a) West Valley College: Park Management Program presentation by Chris
Cruz was delayed to the November PRC meeting due to Mr. Cruz having a
scheduling conflict and not being able to attend.
b) Friends of Saratoga Dogs: A brief presentation was given by Tom Barbaro,
Saratoga resident and member of the Friends of Saratoga Dogs. Advocating for
off leash dog areas /hours in parks. Mr. Barbaro stated the following:
• A petition with over 300 signatures will be presented to the PRC
this evening
• 6,000 Dogs in Saratoga
• Off leash hours and exercise good for dogs (and owners)
• Asking for 1-2 hours each day of off leash activity in parks, either
early a.m. or prior to sundown.
• Self policing by user group (Friends)
