A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
MT. EDEN ESTATES
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO~ 1
RESOLVED, b~' the City Council of the City of Saratoga,
3alifornia, that
WHEREAS, the said. Council did on the 18th day of October,
1961, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. _.108 .... to order the
construction of grading, pavement, curbs, gutters ~ drainage fac~.li-
~:ies and appurtenances in said City, all as more :particularly
fiescribed and set forth in said Resolution of Intention;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of said City is hereby
~irected to publish~ once a week for two weeks, In the Sarat!:>ga
N.e w:s...,.;. a newspaper published and circulated i.n said City, a notlc
inviting sealed proposals or bids for the constr't~ction of said
improvements, and referring to the plans and speeifi. catlons on file
in the office of said City Clerk, the first of which pubtl.c. ation.$
shall be at least ten days prior to the time fixed for opening bids
All proposals or bids shall be accompan:l. ed by a certi. fied
check payable to the City amounting to not less than ten per cent
;he bid, or by a bond for that amount and so payable, and two
~ho shall Justify, before any officer competent to admin:Ister .an oath,
In double that amount and over and above all stat~tory exemptions,
~r by a corporate surety bond to the satisfaction and approval of
~he Superintendent of Streets. Said check shall be forfeited or
maid bond shall become payable to said City in case the bidder
~epositing the same does not, within twenty-five days after the
~irst publication of notice of award, enter into a contract with
bhe Superintendent of Streets of said City.
Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the
City Clerk of this City on or before _.Z,.~.E~ .......... o'clock P.M. on the
15 day of ............... , 1961, said time being not less
th~n ten days from the time of the first publication of said
notice. Bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared on
said day and hour.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and
correct copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Saratoga, California, at a meeting thereof
held on the 18th day of October, 1961, by the following vote of
the members thereof:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: Glennon, ~x~,
Langwill, Hartman and Brazil
NOES, Councilmen: None
ABSENT, Councilmen: Drake
