The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Santa Clara has formally adopted the recommendation of the
County Trafficways Committee for a $70,000,000.00 County-City
Highway bond issue, and
WHEREAS a proposition for this County-City Highway bond
issue is to be placed before the voters of Santa Clara County
on date of March 28, 1961, and
WHEREAS, this Council is represented on the said County
Trafficways Committee and does approve its recommendation, and
wishes to go on record as expressing its approval of said
8ounty-City Highway bond issue proposition to be placed before
the 'voters of said County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That this Council does hereby express its approval and
endorsement of the $70,000,000.00 County-City Highway bond issue
proposal to be placed before the voters of Santa Clara County on
date of March 28, 1961, and urges the citizens of Saratoga to
vote in favor of said measure on said date. The City Clerk
fs hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the
Board of Supervisors of Santa Clara County.
PASSED .AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 15thday Of February
1961, by the following vote:
AYES: Brazil, Glennon, Drake, Hartman, Langwill
