RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ~NEX~TION TO CITY
0P SARATOGA OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREiI~
AND DESIGNATED '"SAR 1962~1" AND GIVING I~0TICE OF
TE~E AND PLACE ER ANY PROTESTS THERET0
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby
resolve as follows:
Pursuant to the provisions of the annexation
of uninhabited territory act of 1939, a
petition signed by owners of not less than one-fourth of
the land of the hereinafter described territory, by area
and by assessed value as sho~m on the last equalized
assessment roll of the County of Ssmta Clara, was filed
with this City Council on February 23, 1962, requesting
annexation of the hereinafter described territory to said
city.
s.e.c._tion 2: Said territory proposed to be annexed to the
City of Saratoga, hereby designated "SAR-1962-1"
is more particularly described on exhibit "A" attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
That the Santa Clara County Boundary Conuuission
did in session duly sssemblled on L'iarch 19~ 1962,
consider the proposed annexation boundaries as above
described, and as submitted to said commission by the
proponents of said annexation and has submitted its report
thereon.
S.e.c~ion ~:. Wednesday, ~ay 16~ 1962 at the hour of 8 o' clock
P.N., at the Council Chambers of the City of
Saratoga located in the Fruitvale School Auditorium,
Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga, California, is hereby fixed as
the time and place where the City Council ~vill hear any
written protests against the annexation ~nade by any person
ovming real property wiltbin the territory to be annexed.
Section _5~:~. The City Clerk of this City is hereby authorized
and directed to cause a copy of this resolution.
to be published. at least twice, but not citeher than once
a week, in a newspaper of general circulation published in
the City of Saratoga, the last publication to be complete
at least 20 days prior to the date set for hearing.
Secti~on 6: The City Council hereby finding that said
annexation proceedings have been initiated by
petition of all of the owners of all of the territory to be
annexed~ who have consented in writing that said territory
be annexed as aforesaid, it is hereby found that no other
or further notice of said protest hearing is necessary.
The above and foregoing resolution v,~as passed and adopted
