HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 164-A RESOLUTION NO. 16~A RESOLUTION FIXING TIME AI~D PLACE FOR HEARING UNDER STREET LIGHTING ACT OF 1919 - AZULE LIGI~TING DISTRICT ANNEXATION NO. 1 ~.'~ERFAS, heretofore on the 18 day of September, 1963, the City Council of the City of Saratoga adopted a resolution of intention to annex certain property to the Special assessment District known as the "Azule Lighting. District~', and being Resolution No: 164 of said city, reference to which is hereby made for further parti- culars, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: Section 1: The_~:~:l~_ _day of October. .. , 1963, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day at the Council Chambers of the City of Saratoga located at the Saratoga High School, Herriman Avenue and Highway ~9, Saratoga, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing protests in relation to the proposed improvement and the proposed annexation to said special assessment district, as more particularly described in the proposed copy of notice attached to this resolution, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing in accord with Chapter 5~ Part 1 of Division 14 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. S~e~.ti.~n 2: The area proposed to be annexed to said special assessment district, to which this resolution re- fers, is more particularly set forth in the resolution of intention hereinabove referred to. The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly regularly introduced and passed by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the_.l/L_day of _, 1963, ~ the follo~ing votes: AYES: Glennon, Brazil, Drake, Hartman, Tyler }IOES: None ~ ABSENT: None J/~ City Clerk IMPROVEMENT AlZ parsons are hereby notified that on September 18, 1963, a report was duly made and cons!darud by the City Council of the C~_ty of Saratoga pursuant to streets and highways Code Sections 18041 and 18161, and thereafter on September 18, 1963, Resolution No. 164 of said City was passed and adopted bein8 a resolution of Intention pursuant to the Street LightinS Act of 1919 and that thereafter at set time end place Resolution No. 164oA was passed and adopted ~t~:ing the time and place ~or hearing o~ protests to the annexation of certain lands to the Acule Lighting Distrt-ct. The 16th day of October, 1963, at the hour of 8:00 PJi. of said day at the Council Chambers of the City of Saratoga at the Saratoga High School, ~lerziman Avenue and ~ighway #9, Saratoga, California is the time and place fixed for the hearing of all protests in relation to the proposed improvemen= and proposed annexation of the Azule Lighting District pursuant to the Street Lighting Act of 1919 and all persons desiring to protest =he same shall do so by ff. ling a written protest staCinZ the objection ~here=o with the Clerk of the City of Saratoga a~ or before 5:00 P.M. on the 16th day of October, 1963. The improvement proposed is the supplying of electric current for the illumination of a street lighting system to be known as the "AZULE LIGHTING DISTRICT ANNEXATION NO. 1," to be annexed pursuant to the Street Lighting act of 1919. The elec~roliers and other physical equilmmut necessary will be furnished without cost to the City or to ~he property owners or residents of =he City or to the area to be annexed, and after =he installation of the same, ~he cost of furnishing electric current, maintenance and repair shall be assessed, levied and collected on =he land by the Azule Lighting District and the annexed area in accord with said S~reet Lightin~ Act. For further particulars, reference is hereby made to the above mentioned Resolution of In~antion and report which are on file with the City Clerk of the City of SararoSa.
