RESOLUTION SETTING SPEED LI.~flTS ON ALLENDALE AVENUE
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby resolve as lollors:
Se_ction 1: The prima facie speed limit of 55 miles per hour is more
than a reasonable or a safe speed for any person to drive
a vehicle on or along Allendale Avenue bet~een Fruitvale Avenue and
Quito Road,
Section 2: That portion of Allendale Avenue from Fruitvale Avenue to a
point 300 feet vest of the intersection of Harleigh Drive and
Allendale Avenue is declared to be a 35 miles Der hour speed zones and
no person shall drive a vehicle on or al0n~. the hereinabove described
portion of Aliendale Avenue at a speed greater than 35 railes per hour.
Section ~: That portion of Allendale Avenue from Qutto ?.oad to a point
300 feet vest of the intersection of Harlelah Drive and Allendale
Avenue is declared to be a 25 miles per hour speed zone, and no person shall
drive a vehicle on or along the hereinabove described portion of Allendale
Avenue at a speed greater than 25 miles per hour.
5~ction ~: This resolution shall become effective at stleh time as Allendale
Avenue is posted ~rlth speed limit signs in accord ~tth ~he
regulations contained herein,
The above and foregoing resolution vas passed and adopted in a reaular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held on the 6th~ day of
NO~enber , 1963, by the folioring vote:
AYES: Councilmen Glennon, Brazil, Drake, Hartman, Tyler
