~$, the Board of Directors of County Sanitation District
No. 4 of Santa Clara County has filed with this Council a certifie~
copy of its Resolution requesting consent of this Council to under.
ta~ proceedings pursuit to appropriate special assessment and
assessmnt bond acts for the constmction of a sanita~ sewerage
system and to assess the cost thereof on the lands described in
said ReselutieU;

within the l~ts of the City of Saratoga over w~ch this Council
~s Jurisdiction& and
~~S, the public interest and general welfare will be
served by underta~ng and completi~ said project.
NOW, IT ~ 0~~, as follows:
1. ~t consent be, and the sm is hereby, granted to said
County Sanitation District No. ~::~.n, ef Santa Clara County, to acquire
and constmct said sa~ta~ sewerage system as described in said
Resolution, to fom said assessment district and to mke such
cha~es and ~difications therein as my be proper or advisable
in the mnne~ provided by law.
2. That consent be, a~ the sine is hereby, granted to said
District to open all such ~blic streets as are required for the
installation of said sanita~ sewerage system. All work
to said project shall be done under the direction of t~ District
~gineer and to the satisfaction of the Public Works Disctot of
said City a~ in confomty with good e~ineering practice. Said
District Engineer shall require of the contractor that all of the
provisions of the specifications are complied with by the contract
or, to the end that no greater amount of ditches are open at any
time than is necessaxT, that they shall be adequately lighted and
barricaded, and that they shall be promptly backfilled, and that
the pavement shall be restored with materials of like quality and
character as those existing therein at the tim of such work and
to its former condition and state of usefulness as nearly as may
be. In this regard District shall first receive the written
approval of the Public Works Director that all backfill and paving
complies with City requirements prior to final payment to contract-
or, to which District agrees by acceptance of the within consent,
this resolution being conditioned upon such agreement by District.
3. That the Public Works Director of said City be, and he
is hereby, authorized and directed to carry out the provisions of
this Resolution.
4. That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, directed to
file with the ~ecretary of said District a certified copy of this
Resolution.
