A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
AZULE HOMESITES IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of Zhe City of Saratoga,
California, that
WHEREAS, the said Council did, on the 7th day of April, 1965,
adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 229, to order the grading,
construction of base, pavement, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, drain-
age facilities and appurtenances in said City, all as more par-
ticularly described and set forth in said Resolution of intention;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of the City is hereby directed
to publish once a week for two weeks in the Saratoga News, a news-
paper published and circulated in said City, a notice inviting
sealed proposals or bids for the construction of said improvements
and referring to the plans and specifications on file in the
of said City Clerk, the first of which publications sha]..1 be at
least fourteen days prior to the time fixed for opening b:i. dso
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's
or certified check payable to the order of the City amounting to
ten per cent of the bid, or by a bond in said amount and payable
to said City, signed by the bidder and a.. corporate surety or by
the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer
competent to administer an oath, in double said amount and over
and above all statutory exemptions. Said check shall be for-
feited or said bond shall become payable to said City in case the
bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after
written notice that the contract has been awarded to him, enter
into a contract with the City.
Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the
City Clerk of this City on or before 3:00 o'clock P.M. on the
13th day of September, 1965, said time being no~ less than four-
teen days from the time of the first publication of said notice.
Bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared on said day
and hour, and referred ~o and considered by the Council at its
meeting at 8:00 o'clock P~M. on September 15, 1965.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and
correct copy of Resolution duly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Saratoga, California., at a meeting thereof
held on the 4th day of August, 1965, by the following vote of
the members thereof:
