A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ENGINEER AND ATTORNkYS
PARKING DISTRICT NO. i
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City' of Saratoga:
California, that
WEREAS, this Council has determined to undertake proceedings
pursuant to appropriate assessment and assessment bond acts for the
acquisition and. construction of public improvements in sai5 Ci'ty;
WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will be serve~
by appointing and employing engineers and attorneys for the prepara
tion and conduct of said proceedings and work in con:nection with
said acquisitions and improvements~
NOW, T~E~RE, IT IS 0~~, as follows:
1. That Creegan and D'Angelo, San Jose, Ca!ifornia~ be and
they are hereby~ appointed as. EngineeI~ of Work and emF. loyed to do
and perform all engineering work necessary j.n and for said proc~;~ed-
ings, including all preliminary surveying, preparation of repo:r't~
plans~ specifications, profiles, esti:~e, te of costs, diagram and
as:sessment, setting grade stakes and superv:[sion of work; that
compensation be~ and it is hereby~ fixed at a reasonab].e engineerln
fee for all of said engineering, said fee to be approved by' the
City Council of said City' and assessed as an iI]cidenta.! ex.pense of
~aZd Creegan and D~Angelo~ or his a~therize~%~gent, is hereby
designated to make and sign any certificate or document required to
be :~.de or signed by the Engineer of Work.
2. That the Fubiic Works Director of this Cit~ is hereby
directed to examine and approve the engineerin~ documents and t.o
provide the inspection of ~he construction of said. improve:ments and
te accept said work when done ~o his satisfaction. The cos~ of
~aZd inspectien shall be assessed a5 an incidental .exi:,e:nse of said
proc eeding s.
3. That the law firm of Wilson, Jones, Morton & Lynch, San
Mateo~ CaliforniaJ be~ and they are hereb~l', appointed and emploF'ed
to do and perform all legal services required in the co~duct of sai,
proceedings, including the preparation of ~11 paper~s not
be prepared by the Engineer, examining and approv:i. ng the
documents and. advising the Engineer in the pr,aparation of his
advising all City officials on all matters x~etati. ng thereto widen
called upon, and f',~rr~:].shing their' legal. opj..mZon on the va. lj.~:m~:::[t~· of
said proceedings and bonds~ and that their compensat:[on be~ and
is hereby, fixed at two per cent ~[2~) of the acquls:~..tion and. con-
