A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
VILLAGE PARKING DISTRICT N0.1
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saratoga,
Ca!ifornia, that
WHEREAS, the said Council did, on the 4th day of May,
1966, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 329, as subsequently
amended, to order the grading, removing existing structures and
obstructions, and the construction=of base, pavement, wearing
su~fac% Curbs, gutters, drainage facilities, lighting facilities,
striping, landscaping, utilities and. all appurtenances, in said
City, all as more particularly.described and set forth in said
Resolution of Intention, as amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of said City is hereby
directed to publish once a week for two weeks in the Saratoga
News, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, a notice
inviting sealed proposals or bids :forthe construction of said
improvementS, and referring to the plans and specifications on
file in the office of said City Clerk,. the first publication of
which notice shall be at least fourteen days Prior to the time
fixed for opening bids°
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by s cashier~s
or certified check payable to.the order of the City amounting to
ten per cent of the bid, or by a bond inksaid amount and payable
to said City signed by the bidder and s corp6rate surety or by
the bidder and two sureties who shall Justify before any officer
competent to administer an oath, in double said amount and over
and above all statutory exemptions. Said check shall be forfeited
or'said bond shall become payable to said City in case the bidder
depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written
notice that the contract has been awa!rded to him, enter into a
contract with the City.
Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the
City Clerk of said City on or before B:O0 o'clock P.N. on the
llth day of August, 1967, said time being not less than fourteen
days from the time of the first publication of said notice° Bids
will be publicly opened, examined and declared on said day and
hour, and referred toand considered by the Council at its meeting
st 8:00 o'clock P.M. on August 16, 1967.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and
correct copy of Resolutio~ duly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Saratoga, California, at a meeting thereof
held on the 5th day of 3uly , 196 ~ ..... , by the
following vote of the members thereof:
