A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ENGINEER AND ATTORNEYS
WEST VALLEY JOINT JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT
SARATOGA CAMPUS
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saratoga,
California, that
WHEREAS, this Council has determined to undertake proceedings
pursuant to appropriate assessment and assessment bond acts for the
acquisition and construction of public improvements in said City~
WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will be
served by appointing and employing engineers and attorneys for the
preparation and conduct of said proceedings and work in connection
with said acquisitions and improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE~ IT IS ORDERED, that:
1. Mark E. Thomas & Coo, Inco, Consulting Civil Engineers~
San Jose, California., be, and is hereby appointed as Engineer of
Work and employed ~o do and perform all engineering work necessary
in and for said proceedings, including all preliminary surveying,
prepara%ion of report, plans, profiles, specifications, satimage
of costs, diagram and assessment, setting grade stakes, superv~.-
sion of work and preparing, signing and filing cost certificates%
that Mark Eo Thomas of said Mark Eo Thomas & Co., Inco, or his
authorized agent, be, and is hereby, designated to make and sign
any certificate or document required to be made or signed by the
Engineer of Work; and that compensation be, and it is hereby,
fixed at a reasonable fes to be set forth in the estimate of cost
and approved by the City Council~
2o The City Engineer of said City is hereby directed to
examine and approve the engineering documents, and to provide
inspection of the installation of said improvements usual for his
office to provide. The cost of said inspection shall be assessed
as an incidental expense of said proceedings.
