A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA AMENDING
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING UNDERGIOUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. I BY MOD-
IFYING TIME LIMIT FOR REMOVAL OF POLES AND OVERHEAD WIRES.
WHEREAS, the area on both sides of Allendale Avenue from 300 feet east of Porto,
to 300 feet west of Portos designated Area A on the attached map, was included in
Underground Utility District ~1, and
WHEREAS, Gardner Lane at Fruitvale Avenue was included in Underground Utility
District No. 1s and
WHEREAS, the entire Saratoga property of West Valley Joint Junior College District
was included in Underground Utility District #1, and
WHEREAS Area A is beyond ~he limits of the Allendale Avenue cnustr-ction project and
undergrounding of the utilities involved was not incorporated in utility plans for
Underground Utility District #1s and
WHEREAS, existing residential structures south of Gardner Lane are to be removed
within one year from this date,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution 431 be amended to permit removal of
poles, overhead wiress and other associated sturct~res from Area A and Gardner Lane
no later than January 1, 1969, and from the residential str.,ctures to be removed no
later than June 5

RESOLVED FlIRTHER THAT the City Clerk within ten (1O) days of adoption of this resolution
,hail' mail'a copy! of this resolution to affected property owners as such are shown
on the last equalized assessment roll and to the affected utilities.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and passed
by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 5th day
of Junes 1968, by the following vote:
