RESOLIr~i0N .OF T~IE CITY OF SARATOGA
IN MEMORY OF PLA.~{NIlqG CO~R<tSSIONER
~EREAS, the untimely passing of Oscar W. johnson, Jr. has
brough~ ~Sreat sorrow and loss to his wife, members of his family, his
many frier~ds, and to his Saratoga comnunity,
~tER~S, Co~issioner Johnson served with distinction on the
Saratoga Planning Co~ission as Vice-Chair~n during two periods ~y, 1961
to December, 1963 and October, 1965 to November, 1968 and,
I~{ER~S, he ~s instrumental as Chair~n of the General Plan
Co~ittee of the Planning C~ission in the preparation and adoption of
~he 1968 Saratoga General Plan and,
I.~R~S, all officials and officers of the City of Saratoga
associated with him in past years will sorely miss his always stable leader-
ship, generous advise, eloquent and direct mnner, and witty humor,
NOW T~REFORE BE !T RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saratoga
in respect for the memory of the late Co~issioner O. W. (~dy) Johnson, Jr.
conveys its sincere condolence and s~pathy to his family..
PASSED ~ ~OPTED ON T~ 6th day of November 19 68 , at
a regular meeting of the City Council of Saratoga by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Tyler, Robbins, Smith, D~er, Sanders
