RESOLUTION REQUESTING SANTA CLARA COUNTY PLANNING CO~4ISSION
TO ~LAY APPROVAL OF P~ G, & E. TRANSMISSION LINE TO PEIMIT
STUDY AND EVALUATION OF PROPOSED LOCATION ON WEST SANTA CLARA
VALLEY
I~tEREAS, PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY is proposing construction of
a high voltage transmission line along the ridge west of Saratoga,
WHEREAS, this development will have a major impact on the City of Saratoga
and its envtornment from the standpoint of watershed protectionm and conservation
of the aesthetic values of the wooded slopes:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Saratoga
requests the Santa Clara County Plannin8 Commission to delay approval of the ?. G. & E.
transmission line to perm{t study and evaluation of the impact the proposed location
will have on Saratoga and the West Valley area.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga will support
and assist in the conduct of any studies designated to assist the Santa Clara County
Planning Commission in arriving at a decision on this matter.
