REPORT ARE). REC~I~)ATION RE PROPOSED
CON(JRE$~j J~PINGS 1969-1b ANNEXATION TO THE
CITY OF SARATOGA
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation
Commission has heretofore, on the ..... _41t..h _. day of _ ~RCH _ ,
1969, approved the proposed boundaries of that certain proposed
annexation captioned "Congress !Springs 1969- lbr'%~der the terms
of which Resolution certain conditions were imposed, and to which
Resolution reference is hereby made for further particulars, and
WHEREAS, it would appear that by reason of the number of
registered voters residing within the territory proposed to be
annexed, that said annexation ca~ not be accomplished under the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, and
WHEREAS, therefore, this Council is desirous of consenting
to the commencement of proceedings for the annexation of said
territory under the Annexation Act of 1913, and to that end is
desirous of receiviv4~ a report and reco~enendations from the
Planning Commission of this City, in accord with Government Code
Section 35108 of this State,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Planning Commission is hereby directed to make a report
and recommendation to this Council concerning the hereinabove
referred to proposed annexation, and to render said relport to this
Council on or before April 2, 1969, and in all events on or before
the expiration of forty (40) days from date of this ResOlution.
The above and foregoing Resolution was regularly passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a
regular meeting held on the 19th day of March, 1969, by the
