HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 483 RESOLUTION NO. 483 RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING FORMATION OF SARATOGA CITY EMPLOYEE'S ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga has been informed that its employees have formed an association known as the Saratoga City Employees' Associa- tion of which Erman R. Dorsey is President: AND, WHEREAS, the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act as amended in 1968 author- izes employee organizations recognized by public agencies to represent their members in employment relations with such public agencies; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby: 1. Acknowledges the formation of the Saratoga City Employees'Associa- tion for the state~ purpose of creating friendship and harmony between em- ployees of the various branches of the City and to promote the social, ec- onomic advancement, and educational welfare of its members; 2. Designates the City Administrator to prepare and submit to the City Council for adoption reasonable rules and regulations for the recog- nition of employee organizations pursuant to the provisions of the Meyers- Milias-Brown Act; 3. Authorizes the City Administrator to consult with representatives of the Saratoga City Employee Association with respect to salary ranges and job classifications. The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and passed by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 4th day of June, 1969, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Tyler, Dwyer, Robbins, Smith, Sanders NOES: None ABSENT: None TY CI
