A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA IN
RECOGNITION OF THE VALUED CONT~IBUTIONS OF JEPT}LA.A. WADE A~q
CHAIRMAN OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION DURING ITS
FIRST YEAR OF OPERATION.
WHEREAS, JEPTHA A. WADE served ably and well as the Chairman of the
Saratoga Parks and REcreation Commission from its initial organization on
August 7, 1968, to the date of his retirement from that office on September
17, 1969; and
WHEREAS, JEPI]zlA A. WADE devoted innumerable hours to the dutie~ and resoon-
sibilittes incumbent upon the chairman of a newly formed commission designed
to study and advise the City Council of its recommendations tows. rd the estab
lishment and implementation of a parks and recreation program. for the City of
Saratoga; and
kMEREAS, the benefits accruing to Saratoga through the work of .IEP~{A A.
WADE, in his capacity as Chairman of the Parks and P~ecreation Commission
have significance to Saratogans in the years to come as it has fluring his tem~re
of that office;
NOW, T}~.P~,FORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the invaluable service rendered to
the City of Saratoga by JEPT]~LA A. WADE is hereby officially recognized by the
Saratoga City Council;
BE IT FURTHER RE. SOLVED that this Council expresses its appreciation to
~Ir, Wade for his willingness to contin~xe his active interest in serving the
City as a member of the Parks and Recreation Commission a].though his ~ersona]
business commitments no longer enable him to serve as its. Chairn~n.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and. adopted at a regu].ar
meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held on the 17t~ day of
September, 1969, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Tyler, Sanders, Smith, F~yer
NOES: None
ABSENT | Councilman Robbins
