CITY OF SARATOGA
RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND
NECESSITY DEMAND THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION AND
COMPLETION BY THE CITY OF SARATOGA OF THE FOLLOWING
MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
NEIGHBORHOOD PARK FACILITIES;
AND THAT THE COST OF SAID MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT WILL
REQUIRE AN EXPENDITURE GREATER THAN THE AMOUNT ALLOWED
THEREFOR BY THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Saratoga, as follows:
1. That the public interest and necessity demand
the acquisition, construction and completion by said City of
the following municipal improvement, to wit:
Neighborhood park facilities, including acquisition
of land for neighborhood park sites and preservation of open
spaces and the development of neighborhood park sites by
grading, landscaping and installation of recreational facil-
ities and furnishings; and other works, property or structures
necessary or convenient for neighborhood park facilities for
the City of Saratoga.
2. That the acquisition, construction and com-
pletion of said municipal improvement is necessary and con-
venient to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of
said City.
B. That the cost of the acquisition, construction
and completion of said municipal improvement is and will be
too ~reat to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and
revenue of said City, and that said municipal improvement
will require an expenditure ~reater than the amount allowed
therefor by the annual tax levy and that said City should
incur a bonded indebtedness therefor,
PASSED AND ADOPTED March 4, 1970, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Tyler, Dwyer, Robbins, Smith, Sanders
